![]() So you'll have to start with getting a minecraft server and getting it to run (this will be easy and there's enough regarding this on the internet) but with synology this is a bit different and more difficult but if you have set up your synology correctly You'll be able to connect through ssh, if you can't get that fixed now (google that one) Modify or create server. This is kinda difficult information but for the people with some knowledge this will be doable (I did it actually).Following steps demonstrate how to modify the TEMP folder in Syncrify. So now you'll have to get the script to actually run in the background, I don't have an official synology server, so I didn't know how to get this fixed but after 5 hours I figured it out so thought lets share how to do it with you guys. I'm trying to get this working on my Synology DS414. ![]() So first of you'll have to get ipkg on your system, this is kinda difficult because most people just don't know what package to get, to figure out what to get it's easier than you think, AMD and Intel are i686 systems so you'll just have to download that one (you can find that here: ) so if you're done with that you can install the bootstrap (the download notes how to do this) then reboot the server, now we're almost there. I'm using this release, which works fine when starting from the command line in Putty, all perfect: java -jar -Dserver.port8085 ha-bridge-3.5.1.jar. However, as soon as I close the SSH session, the app is also going down. Now you start a shell, type in: screen, now it opens a different screen, this is a session, you can exit a session (datach, you don't stop the session, that's the whole trick of this) with ctrl-a-d/ When you're synology server has restarted you'll have to connect the ssh, next up you'll have to type: ipkg update, to update your ipkg, next you'll want to type: ipkg install screen, it'll start installing screen. In a screen you type the command to start your script/Minecraft Server, and btw, it might give you a error with file not found, I had this to, but you'll have to change the first line with #! in front of it to: #!/bin/sh or else it won't work, because synology is a bit different then most Linux based systems. ![]()
